RUA is a modern entertainment house creating stories, experiences, and worlds through every form imagination can reach.
RUA began with the feeling that the world is looking harder at the artist than the art. Pop culture asks us to study faces and consume lifestyles until the artist overshadows the space they occupy.
Then AI sharpened the question: if a machine can generate art, what makes creativity “human” other than the human(s) behind it?
RUA believes the answer lies beyond vanity, fame, visibility, and the need to be seen. It lives in the strings unique to each of us… in how memory shapes relationships, fear wrestles with faith, grief carries culture, contradictions reshape dreams, and experience pulls each person somewhere different.
Art gives those strings form, something another person can feel, carry and pull.
Gavi
RUA's first string
Listen closely and you might just find you have some strings in common with Gavi.
Who Is Gavi?
Gavi is a self-aware puppet. He knows he exists in a world where everyone is being pulled by something: grief, love, lust, fear, family, faith, trauma, money, memory, algorithms, potential, expectation, and so much more. The twist is that the puppet can also be the puppeteer and all puppeteers have puppeteers as well. No one is fully in control, but everyone is still responsible for what they do with the strings they inherit.
Through music, puppetry, animation, and surreal storytelling, Gavi turns personal songs and experiences into a larger social commentary about identity, healing, and what it means to be and become real.
His form changes with the story, just as our faces and bodies change through every version of ourselves.
In a culture that often studies the artist’s face, body, image, and identity before the work itself, Gavi turns attention back to the music, the meaning, and whatever string(s) the work awakens.
Even if his appearance evolves, his purpose remains: to put the heart of the art before the face of the artist, and remind us that changing does not make us any less ourselves.
